Haven't got time to update my blog. Had quite an interesting Saturdays for the mth of Aug.

15th Aug
I was one of the sword bearers for my BMT instructor. His wedding was held in Raffles Hotel. It was cool cos all his sword bearers were female! Was very honoured to be one of them. It has always been my dream to have a military wedding (The groom wearing the military uniform not me wearing it)

Attended my first Singles Event @ Wine Arcade. It was a wine appreciation talk. We had wine over the lunch provided. Initially I thought the participants will be from MOE but I was wrong. The participants were from all over, from both private and public sector. The ladies were seated at their table throughout the lunch but the guys were made to change table after every course served. It was an interesting experience. Got to know a couple of female non-uniform officers frm the Police Force as they were frm my table. FYI, I was volunteered by my boss to attend this event. As my colleague was the organizer for our side, I thought I shld give him some support.

What will be your first thought if somebody approach you and asked if you could help push her baby stroller for her and even offer money for your service?

My first reaction was "What???? Is she like for real?? Is this like some kind of joke or scam?". Despite all the doubts that I have, I lingered a while longer for her to elaborate more as she was a foreigner and I require a longer time to process what she's trying to say. So after listening to her, I agreed to help her.

Venue: At Peace Centre Time : Morning Destination: Jacob Ballas Centre @ Waterloo Street

She was asking around for someone to help her push her child in a stroller to the Jacob Ballas Centre at Waterloo. It takes only bout 10-15 min walk. Apparently, she has been asking around for almost half an hour before I agreed to help her. She's from Isreal and she's Jewish. According to her Saturday is where they go to church for prayer and they are not allowed to handle heavy things therefore she needs someone to push the stroller for her. I know nuts bout Jewish culture but she looked like she really needed help so I took her word for it.

She's a teacher and she teaches the Jewish community, her husband is here for work so her whole family is staying for 2 yrs. A pretty lady with a cute daughter and her friendly mother-in-law. Haha...learn something bout the Jewish culture. I shld go read up on it when I have the time.

I met Ms Phang @ the NATAS Travel Fair!! What a coincidence! When she approached me, I was thinking I'm not even inside yet and there are sales personnel outside already. Ms Phang, did you manage to sign up any packages? The most ironic thing was I was there for travel but ended up signing wedding package. It's probably the first time I spent so much in a day.

The day ended with MAYDAY concert. Totally high though it's not as electrifying as the year before last. Man...I got a surprise halfway through the concert. I was like jumping and singing along with the band when I turn and I saw my subordinate right next to me. Haha...I think he was damn shocked to see me. Haha..I was shocked and like awkward for a min but after that I continued being high...I wasn't at work so I can heck my image lar. We are @ a rock concert!

It's Sept already....when was the last time we met up for dinner? Was it the time at Vivo? We shall meet up and start planning for Xmas. We can help Ms Phang utilize her blog more often by asking her to volunteer her service again.. =)
